Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar Rewrites History: 6th Tuesday Jump Shocks Box Office!

Dhurandhar Box Office Day 40: Ranveer Singh's spy thriller jumps on 6th Tuesday! Beating Stree 2 and Jawan, can it reach the ₹1500 crore milestone?

The “Spy King” has officially arrived. While most films struggle to stay in theaters past their third week, Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar is performing like a brand-new release even on its Day 40. In an insane turn of events, the film witnessed a 20% jump on its sixth Tuesday (January 13, 2026), proving that the audience’s hunger for this high-octane actioner is far from over.

Breaking the “6th Week” Curse

The sixth week is usually the graveyard for big-budget movies, but Dhurandhar has turned it into a victory lap. By earning approximately ₹2.50 crore on Tuesday, the film has brought its total 6th-week collection to ₹19.25 crore in just five days. With this, it has officially shattered the record previously held by Stree 2 (₹17 crore) for the biggest sixth week in the history of Hindi cinema.

Movie Details: The Powerhouse Behind the Success

Directed by National Award-winner Aditya Dhar (Uri: The Surgical Strike), Dhurandhar is a gritty spy thriller inspired by the real-life missions of Indian intelligence. Ranveer Singh delivers a career-best performance as Hamza, an undercover agent who infiltrates the Karachi underworld.

The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast, featuring Akshaye Khanna as the chilling antagonist Rehman Dakait, alongside Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal in pivotal roles. The technical finesse of the film is elevated by Shashwat Sachdev’s high-energy background score and the stunning cinematography of Vikash Nowlakha, which captures the raw, realistic atmosphere of cross-border espionage. Sara Arjun plays the female lead, marking her significant transition from a child star to a mainstream heroine.

The Global Milestone: Entering the ₹1300 Crore Club

The success isn’t just domestic. Dhurandhar has now joined an elite list of Indian cinema legends. As of Day 40, the film’s worldwide gross stands at a staggering ₹1,263 crore.

This makes it the 4th highest-grossing Indian film of all time globally, surpassing massive hits like RRR (₹1230 cr) and KGF: Chapter 2 (₹1215 cr). Currently, it sits behind only Dangal, Baahubali 2, and Pushpa 2: The Rule.

RankMovieWorldwide Gross (Approx)
1Dangal₹2,059 Cr
2Baahubali 2: The Conclusion₹1,788 Cr
3Pushpa 2: The Rule₹1,742 Cr
4Dhurandhar (40 Days)₹1,263 Cr

The “200 Crore” Hurdle

Despite the “insane jump,” the film is currently ₹201 crore away from its next major milestone (the ₹1500 crore mark). With the massive Republic Day release of Border 2 arriving on January 23, Dhurandhar has about 10 days of “free run” left. Experts believe it will comfortably cross ₹1300 crore worldwide, but reaching the top 3 spots might be a challenge as screen counts will drop once the new releases hit theaters.
